Russian New Year song about a Christmas tree

This song is classic. I can't imagine a Russian person who doesn't know it. It's called «В лесу родилась ёлочка» (literally: in the forest a little fir was born).

Lyrics, translations and some info about the song.

Have you heard this song before? Do you like it? :)

  3. Hi, Ekaterina
Wonderfull song!! This is the first time to listen to this song. In Japan, Russian folk songs have been very popular for decades. Katyusha, Kalinka, Красный сарафан, Огонёк and more.
I especially love Полюшко Поле (Polyushko Pole) very much. All of them have incredibly beautiful melodies.

    1. Hi, Keiko!
Wow, Katyusha is famous! It's popular in Finland too. I like it, because Katyusha is a pet form of my name :)
